  • You can double your EBT dollars at the Marion Tailgate Market with Farm Fresh Bucks! Enjoy local farm fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs, meats, honey, jams, breads and more with your EBT dollars, and purchase fresh produce with Farm Fresh Bucks!

    Here’s how it works:
When you get to the market, head over to the blue Market Information tent, we will swipe your EBT card and give you EBT tokens that you can use to purchase food from vendors! We will also double your EBT purchase up to $20 with Farm Fresh Bucks tokens which can be spent on any fruits and vegetables.

EBT dollars can only be spent on food: fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, honey, jams, breads, pastries, and more. EBT dollars can also be spent on edible plant starts (vegetables, herbs).  EBT dollars cannot be spent on hot prepared foods sold for immediate consumption, or any non-food items. The rules and restrictions on EBT usage at the Tailgate Market are set forth by the USDA and are subject to change. EBT beneficiaries can learn more about these benefits when applying for and receiving benefits. Click here to learn more.

Farm Fresh Bucks are the doubled EBT dollars and can be spent on Fruits and Vegetables only. The 2024 double EBT incentive program is sponsored by Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project.

  • Marion Tailgate Market is a farmer's market prioritizing local farmers, growers and food producers, complemented by select artisans, artists, and crafts.  Rain or shine, the market occurs Saturdays 10am-2pm under a covered pavilion in downtown Marion. This year we ran summer hours 9am-1pm during the months of July & August. The Market Season is May through October. Vendors can apply to be a Season Vendor or a Day Vendor. Vendors are expected to adhere to Marion Tailgate Market Guidelines and Policies.

Vendor Applications for the 2025 Market Season are closed.  If you are interested in submitting a 2026 Vendor application, you may view the 2025 Application and Market Guidelines and Policies here.

The 2026 Vendor Applications will open by the end of January 2026.
